Principal Consultant

luisLuis was born in Lima, Peru. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Lima. He is a fully qualified professional, registered as Chartered Professional Mechanical Engineer, NPER, Fellow Member of EA, RPEQ & APEC.


Luis has followed a number of Post Graduate Diploma Courses such as: Project Management, Productivity Specialist, Quality Assurance Auditor, Enterprise Bargaining Negotiator, Instructional Skills, Recruitment and Selection, Equity Contact Officer, Industrial Process Improvement, etc.


Luis has accumulated more than 38 years of successful professional international experience in Manufacturing, Project Management and General Management. His experience comprises diverse Industries such as: Breweries, Dairy Food, Paints, Fish Meat Flour, Fish & Seafood Processes, Petrochemical, Refineries, Agro-industry, Cosmetics and Railways. He has had the opportunity to work in USA, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Peru and Australia.


He has worked for Queensland Rail/ QR National/ Aurizon since June 1990 until September 2012. He has made up his career as a Base Grade Engineer then as an Engineering Coordinator, General Manager of Banyo, Townsville and Ipswich Workshops and Capex/Opex Project Manager for the Redbank Workshop.


Now Luis is an Independent Consultant in matters related with integrated industrial project management, industrial engineering improvements, international representations and assisting the Australian Government and Australian Exporters of goods and services in getting front line business opportunities in the Latin American Region approaching authorities at all levels of Governments and private sectors, with emphasis in infrastructure and development projects.


He also was Lecturer of Project Management and Spanish for the Brisbane North TAFE. From December 2008 he has been appointed as the Queensland Honorary Representative for the Australia - Peru Chamber of Commerce.
